I received one of the new versions of the lower post repair part and it appears to be very good quality. It is slightly different though than the pictures shown, and appears to be designed to have the old posts drilled out of the back case and then the new post appears to be designed to snap into the circuit board. Before drilling, can you confirm the proper procedure to install the new style lower post repair part? Thank you.

Good evening, I received the latest model from the Lowpostrepair last week. I noticed that the pins on the back are shaped to snap onto the PCB.
I wonder if this new model still needs to be glued with the Heraldite or just hook it to the PCB.

excellent repair part for lower posts

After the remainder of the lower posts had been carefully trimmed down to PCB level with a milling cutter, this repair part could be assembled perfectly.
Tip: Do not use too much epoxy in the area of the contacts!

If your HP-41C has one or both lower posts broken then this is the fix for you. The hardest part was keeping the Araldite epoxy out of the tiny PCB holes. This repair was rock solid once the epoxy cured, just as good as the original posts.
