HP50g Blue to be discontinued

He have just received news that HP is planning a cleaning of their European calculator portfolio. We have received a list with the units scheduled to end. Most of them are office units, that are of no relevance for us (since they were not "pure" HP to begin with), but there are two that may be relevant for our customers.

One is the HP20b. We have never liked the keyboard, but is a cheap RPN-capable machine, and it can be repurposed into a wp34s. It is the easiest way to enter into HP kingdom.

The other is the HP50g Blue. For all practical purposes, there are no differences between the Blue and the normal Black calculator, except for the fact that I have not been able to find the blue in other language but Spanish/Portuguese (this refers just to the manuals and documentation: the firmware is English 100%)

We have been told to place the last orders - once finished, it will not be built again.

So far, we have not been given special prices and therefore we cannot improve upon ours.

We have discussed in the past the higher visibility of the lettering. There have been even tales of it helping visually impaired people in hpmuseum.org.

It is for us one of the best sellers. Our customers are for the most part collectors and calculator lovers, and their collection would not be complete without this "odd" sample. Will yours?

We will wait until the 29th to place our final orders.
