Games for the HP15c

As everybody can understand, the HP15c is not the ideal game platform. Its small screen with only numerals (and few letters with clever design) does not allow for a good player interface! We need to find logic games here.

Some of them can be found at Torsten Manz's HP-15c Simulator page. The format on the screen is the one you can get if you program in his simulator (and then transfer to your calculator by way of a memory file):

  • Moonlanding: a version of the classic game. This one is time-critical so therefore it would be quite difficult to play with the fast HP15c CE - better play it with the original!
  • Nimb: A game where you and the calculator pick sticks in turns. The one that has to pick the last stick loses
  • Sudoku solver: a clever implementation of the game, in just 192 steps (so it can fit on the original machine too). It is also a clever use of the resources to display a sudoku table.
