We have a new firmware for the HP12c, available here and fitted in our new HP12c Enhanced version.

The firmware introduces VoyagerSave / VoyagerInterface capabilities: you can save and restore the calculator content, and you can upload Software pacs that can be created.

This firmware is NOMAS: Not-manufacturer-supported. However, you can always roll back to the original firmware which is still available

The HP12c is the longest running product of HP, made without interruption from 1981 until today. It has been the standard calculator model in the financial world since then. Its calculations are taken as "true" on financial discussions. The latest version is 150 times faster than the original model, but still all programs made are fully compatible.

We thought it deserves its own space in our web - there are many users that still keep it on their pocket or their table for everyday use, and that would profit from using it to its limits. There is also a wealth of solutions for different applications:

There are some features under development, like a new firmware that can use VoyagerSave/VoyagerInterface for the HP12c. The current HP12c has exactly the same circuit as the HP15c - so the features and user's memory arrangement are only differentiated by its firmware. There is nothing preventing our use of a HP15c firmware in the HP12c - quite unpractical bacause the keyboard is different. Even using our overlay is OK for a short time, but not as your main HP15c on the long term. This would open the possibility of Software Pacs for the HP12c. There is one ready - a Black and Scholes formula!
